Adam Comerford
Adam was a Technical Services Manager at MongoDB, Inc. In addition to ensuring success of the MongoDB support organization he has engaged the tech community by writing articles and answering questions on Stack Overflow. Adam is also the founder of the Dublin MongoDB User Group which now has over 250 members. Prior to MongoDB, he held various positions at Citrix and AOL.
Andrew Erlichson
Andrew designs and implements the worldwide education efforts around MongoDB. Andrew received his A.B. from Dartmouth College and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He was CEO and founder of Phanfare, an online photo hosting company, now part of Carbonite. Prior to Carbonite, he was founder and CEO of Flashbase, a web service that offered helpers-service online database forms and analysis tools, later on acquired by DoubleClick. At DoubleClick, Andrew was Vice President of Technology for the Research and Development group. He has worked at Mips Computer Systems, Silicon Graphics and BlackRock.
Aaron Heckman
Formerly a Node.js engineer and evangelist at MongoDB. Aaron is now a Web Development Lead at Pebble. Prior to MongoDB, he worked at LearnBoost, a leader in Node.js open source development, where he spent his days working on every aspect of their product and much of his free time working on Mongoose, a popular MongoDB ODM.
Dwight Merriman
Dwight is one of the original authors of MongoDB. In 1995, Dwight co-founded DoubleClick and served as its CTO for ten years. Dwight was the architect of the DoubleClick ad serving infrastructure, DART, which serves tens of billions of ads per day. Dwight is co-founder, Chairman, and the original architect of Panther Express (now part of CDNetworks), a content distribution network (CDN) technology that serves hundreds of thousands of objects per second. Dwight is also a co-founder of and investor in BusinessInsider.com and Gilt Groupe.
Ippei Suzuki
Japanese
Ippei Suzuki translated the lessons for this course to Japanese. He also provided the voice over for the videos. Ippei is an international business specialist, focusing on partnerships between Japan and American companies in the tech sector. He is an expert in network security, including technology such as IDM, encryption, smart cards, and biometrics. He also specializes in next-generation data centers, virtualization, and cloud computing technologies.
Shaun Verch
Formerly a kernel engineer at MongoDB, Shaun is now a software engineer at URX. In addition to extensive experience with C++ he is also a Node.js enthusiast. A graduate of Brown University, Shaun believes in the power of education to change the world.
Jeff Yemin
Jeff has been programming with Java for over 15 years since landing a job at Sun Microsystems as a Java consultant and educator. His first experience with MongoDB came while at MTV Networks, where he led a project to create a unified Java-based content management system (CMS) with MongoDB as the underlying data repository. Jeff is now an engineering manager at MongoDB, Inc. and the lead maintainer of the MongoDB Java driver.

Doug Duncan
Doug is currently enjoying life as a MongoDB DBA. He has worked with RDBMSs for longer than he cares to admit, doing both development and administration, but has come around to new data storage technologies. He has been working with MongoDB for a couple years now both professionally and recreationally. In his spare time you can find him reading up on not only MongoDB but also Hadoop and other distributed data stores.
Juan Carlos Farah

Juan Carlos currently works as a software engineer at Boxagon, a platform that leverages big data to help users discover and acquire what they need for any task, event or adventure. He received his BA from Harvard University and was recently at Stanford pursuing studies in Computer Science and Statistics. Juan Carlos is co-organizer of the MongoDB User Group in Lima, Peru and contributes to the translation of the MongoDB documentation and online courses into Spanish.
José Carlos Garcia

José Carlos is a technical consultant with more than fifteen years of experience. He currently works at Indra, a global technology company which is one of the top European companies in its sector in terms of R&D&I. He is currently leading a team working on the migration of Real Madrid C.F.'s content management systems. He uses MongoDB along with Ruby on Rails for personal projects, and is an active contributor to the translation of the MongoDB documentation and online courses into Spanish.
Jai Hirsch
Jai is the Senior Systems Architect for Data Technologies at CARFAX and a member of the MongoDB Masters group. He started writing software in 1995 and has been writing JVM-based data transformations and batch services since 2006. The past few years he has been focused on high volume MongoDB implementations using distributed processing through AMQP. Jai is one of the lead engineers to convert the CARFAX vehicle history database from a legacy distributed key value store on OpenVMS to a now 13.5+ billion record, 10.5 terabyte MongoDB instance that is replicated to multiple data-centers and grows over 1.5 billion documents per year.
Bryan Nehl
Bryan works as a systems developer on a small team that does extract, transform and load (ETL) of data. In the past he was the Software Development Supervisor for the Missouri House of Representatives. Prior to that he was the Software Development Team Lead at the Missouri Gaming Commission. Bryan received his B.A. in Psychology with a Minor in Computer Information Systems from Columbia College and his Master of Software Engineering from Kansas State University. Outside of work, you might find Bryan out on bicycle or a Harley. He also completed his first half-marathon in October 2012.
