MongoDB Certified Professionals are individuals with proven MongoDB expertise. With this, increase your visibility among hiring managers and recruiters, and foster credibility with your employer and peers in the developer and operations communities.

Applicants roles

Database Administrator (DBA)

A MongoDB database administrator has in-depth knowledge of run-time configuration, processes, scaling, backup and recovery, monitoring, and performance tuning for production MongoDB instances.

Developer

A software engineer fluent in at least one programming language and its associated MongoDB driver. An application developer has a detailed understanding of MongoDB CRUD operations, the driver API, schema design, aggregation and basic scaling.

Certification Levels

Within each role, we define a roadmap for certification at three levels: Associate, Professional, and Master. We currently offer certification at the Associate Level for the DBA and developer roles. Certification at other levels will be available in the future.

Exam Overview

• Exams are administered online through our proctoring partner, Examity. You will need access to a computer running Microsoft Windows or Mac OS X with a working web camera in order to complete the exam. Linux is not currently supported.
• See exam rules and system requirements for each exam.
• There are no prerequisites.
• MongoDB recommends completing an online course or a public training before applying for a certification exam(s).
• Study materials and sessions and are available.
• Exam sessions runs for 90 minutes.
• Exam questions are multiple choice and check all that apply. There are no penalties for incorrect answers.
